Courses for Communication Skills

Writing as a Specialist for Senior Stakeholders

Overview

This very practical 2 day course is designed to help Government Analysts (GES, GSR, GSS, GORS) to communicate technical, complex, detailed, abstract information simply, precisely and briefly to others (whether Ministers, other officials or the public). It covers written communication and teaches how to write quickly and effectively for readers who are not analysts and have precious little time in which to grasp often complex ideas. This intensive course achieves consistently excellent feedback, in most cases achieving the highest possible scores from all delegates. At just five delegates per tutor, it provides individual detailed feedback, hints and tips.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the importance of clear and concise communication in conveying technical, complex, and detailed information to non-analyst audiences.

  • Develop the ability to simplify and clarify complex ideas, ensuring they are easily understandable by readers with limited background knowledge.

  • Learn techniques for writing quickly and effectively without compromising the accuracy and precision of the information.
