Performance Coaching for Managers

Aim and Overview

This course is designed for managers within the Civil Service who want to develop their coaching skills to improve staff performance and support the development of individuals and teams.

This practical course develops the coaching skills needed to support performance, build capability and help others achieve their goals. Participants will explore the principles of effective coaching and develop a personal coaching approach that can be applied within their own management practice. The course also examines how feedback, questioning and listening techniques can be used to influence behaviour, improve performance and strengthen working relationships.

Learning is highly interactive and includes practical coaching exercises, structured feedback and opportunities to practise coaching conversations in a supportive environment. Delivered by an experienced executive coach, the course provides participants with individual feedback and guidance to refine their coaching style.
