Overview

This two-day course includes a comprehensive introduction to the statistical package R and commonly used quantitative methods up to and including regression analysis. As a result, delegates will understand the theory behind common quantitative methods and how to apply these using the R package. No previous experience of R is required. Topics covered in this course include:
 

• Introduction to R using the RStudio interface
• Introduction to data management in R (including how to import data, how to tidy data and how to transform it ready for analysis)
• Data visualisation using R
• Describing data
• Making inferences using datasets (including statistical significance testing, confidence intervals and p-values)
• Introduction to regression analysis
• Individual requests related to delegate projects
